This painting is drawn with colored pencil and pastel and painted with acrylic, mostly just the stars and some whiter lines. Layers of casein fixative are used during the process and varnish is applied over the completed painting. The birds are inspired by the many crows and songbirds I see flying around, visiting the bird baths and pecking through the yard and gardens.
