The late fall sunsets over Lake Michigan can be especially dramatic and I was fortunate to get some good photos on this evening in November. This was initially a pastel painting on wood panel, with fixative and varnish over the pastel. Then I painted over those layers with oils to deepen the colors and make the painting more beautiful and dramatic. See the changes in the video below.
